We need a Sithous mascot. Simple as that. I think it should be a ferret. Cuz i wuv fewwitz. Im getting one. He's black as white and I'ma name him Suitcase. Any other ideas for a mascot?

I came up with an idea while in a skype call with Forim and Legit. Why don't we all pull an all-nighter? (we stay up all night) We all agreed we should. So we did. We made it to about 1:00A.M. But it was me, Bri (Forim's girlfriend) and Forim. We eventually just split leaving me the last one standing. It didn't really work out as you can tell. But we want to plan one for the 26th. We would all get on skype (preferably) and pull one. Maybe even one of us can record it Good idea? Any conflicts with the time? Tell us! (also if you are willing to participate, please leave your skype name on this thread!)

After being inspired by Amp's attempt at "Still Alive," I noticed someone wanted him to sing "Fallen Kingdom." Seeing as he'd not done this yet, I snatched the chance for myself and posted it on YouTube.

I have no studio mic, so my voice may sound a little odd, but I did manage to get my vocals perfectly lined up with the video and instrumental track. I hope I did a decent job and want to hear your feedback.

A Podcast?!

Hey, it's Forim! I've always loved creating podcasts (that are only about 5-15 mins each) about communities that I'm a member of. I figure I can do the same here. I can read up on the server discussions and server discussions and compile a little news broadcast so people don't need to read up to know what's going on in Sithous! I can also give more information on the Minecraft server and even answer questions Sithous users may have. I may also invite guests on the show and have interviews with the admins so people can get to know them better and understand their jobs. To do it, I'll need approval from Skylar and a correct pronunciation of Sithous.

i noticed that on all the computers that i use internet explorer dosent open the sithous pages properly can only use the chat box on firefox so i think some people who try to join and/or enjoy sithous using internet explorer are having a hard time.

The server underwent yet another world change. I think everyone is liking this system a lot more. There are two nations that hate each other with a neutral trade town between them. The problem is, everyone who already played on the server is affiliated and the nations are unbalanced, so we need more people to become a part of our little server and populate the nations, especially mine! The server IP is in the server's forum near the bottom of the Sithous forum home, called Forim's Minecraft Server.

from what i have seen on other servers people absolutely LOVE towns. so i personally have been making a town called skyships a hole town made out of skyships, floating islands, flying fortresses and other things, but this town is in its beginning stages so it wont be up for a wile. but that is just me. so i think that there should be more towns made by people that are not just massive hotel looking blocks! also with towns that are not all stuck together they are easy to protect and it is easy to get though them. i see lots of people leave the server because they cant find anywhere nice to build a house but with towns its easy to find a spot, right with there friends! remember towns can be underground, in the sky, ground level, at sea or where ever! but im looking for input from you! do what you wish if you feel it is right.

on the last world i made a pixle art QR code that connected to the sithous homepage and i was wondering if you guys thought that it would be a good idea for the spawn! if you dont know what a QR code is it is a image or black and white squares that can be scanned with a QR code scanner program! (iphone, 3DS, app, program,) so please tell me what you think!

Switching back to TDSM (for Terraria)

Hello everyone!

As most of you know our Terraria server currently runs TShock and has been running it for the last few months. TShock was a great idea and all, but has far to many stability issues to continue being our preferred software for hosting on Terraria. I have said for the last month or two that I will switch to TDSM as soon as possible, well the time is here.

Lots of you have heard me brag about how TDSM is far superior to TShock or any other server hosting software for Terraria. The reason I brag is because I started the Sithous Terraria server on TDSM and it was very stable and could support 50+ users without any lag. TShock can barely handle 20 clients before lagging (and usually crashing).

So I am planning on switching the server over either tonight, within the next few days, or next week. But it will be as soon as possible! I already got a test server online and I am tweaking it and getting it ready to go live to the public. As soon as this happens I will make an announcement here on the forums about it. I just wanted to make sure you all know of my plan. All admins will have to re-learn commands and many plugins for TDSM are still in development.

I hope all of you can support us in this switch. I am hoping this is the push to bringing our client base back. I believe the reason for our Terraria server's traffic dropping is because of how stable the server is. No one wants to play for a little while and get disconnected and have to wait for server to come back online. This will not be a problem with TDSM at all.

Anyways, this was a long post and I have to get back to work. Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Forgot to note, once we switch back ALL users will have to re-add their Terraria user to their sithous.com account. This is because our database for the other server is completely different then how TDSM stores users. Wont be that big of a deal though.

i made a qr code and i wanted to put at the spawn for who ever has a qr reader! you can download the qr app on you phone and i think that there are some websites that you can download a program. i made this qr code for all the admins and moderators and super admins.ect for doing a great job! if you stand in the middle of it and scan it it takes you to the sithous home page! also ??? (killerstar35) helped allot.

about a week after i bought terarria, my friend wanted to go on a server with me, so i went to a popular server list and chose this one, the spawn was cool,but the monsters were powerful (I had only beaten the EOC at the time, it was in hard mode) but i decided to ignore them, eventually, i kept visiting until i registered, and here i am today.
